WH7DA power supplyThis week we feature some do-it-yourself projects.   All you cheapskates (and what ham isn’t one), listen up. We are about to save you some bucks.

WH7DA gutted an old computer and salvaged a 300 watt power supply. He then converted it into a power supply that is suitable for light-duty ham radio use.

The dirt-simple project is documented, complete with step-by-step photographs, on his blog.

He also has some related posts that are worth reading, such as, how to build a  Power Supply Tester.
