It just occurred to me that there have been a lot of new hams licensed since I last saw an article about building almost everyone’s first ham radio construction project — the inexpensive and efficient J-Pole VHF-UHF antenna. It is a favorite because the materials required for its construction are readily available at your friendly neighborhood builder’s center and there is no great amount of skill needed in putting it together.
Who would need more reason to like them? Oh, yes. They work well on frequencies all the way from six meters on up.
