Hacked Gadgets’ Web site sponsored a workbench contest. This should have strong Ham Radio operator appeal as there are some good shop layout and storage ideas here.
Some of the entries are way too neat, however. Most ham’s workbenches would have taken all summer to get looking that clean.
While you are looking over their site, be sure to look at the Sawdust Cannon - Proven by Mythbusters. Just remember that your Uncle Bob says, “Don’t try this at home, kids.” <nudge><nudge><wink><wink>
To enter the Hacked Gadgets Workbench Contest add one or more pictures of your workbench to this thread and describe what is great about it. Got a question? Ask in the comments area here.
A few items that could be described would be:
* Lighting
* Electrical Outlets (can never have enough)
* Test Equipment
* Storage
* Bench Surface

I don’t know if you saw that episode of MythBusters or not, but it was something to behold. Also to file under the “Do Not Try This at Home” pile, in an effort to build a bigger, better, more fiery, and more spectacular effect they built a Non-Dairy Creamer Cannon.

Yes, I did see that. I loved the after-blast comment about fresh underwear.

Can I count my apple desktop? It’s pretty cool and optimized.

Even if they won’t accept it in the contest, you could always post a screenshot of it here.
