National Do Not Call Registry logoIf you signed up with the National Do Not Call Registry when the service opened its doors in 2003, it’s time to re-register. Registration expires after five years. You can re-register anytime, even if your five years aren’t up.

While you are their site check out the section called, “What you should know about the National Do Not Call Registry”. It has some good anti-phishing information.

FarmYou might keep in mind as you read this, the current effects of the drug resistant strains of viruses. They have been at least partially caused by the same spirit of profit maximization over in the pharmaceutical industry. OK, lets be honest and call it what it is, greed.

Please, let us at long last start learning from our mistakes.

Our federal regulatory agencies - designed to protect consumers, workers, and the environment from corporate profiteers - have instead become brothels on wheels, going to any length to accommodate profiteers.

One of the rolling accommodators is the U.S. agriculture department, which has been especially servile to Monsanto and other biotech giants involved in messing with the very DNA of our foods and feed crops. Monsanto makes a weedkiller called Roundup, but in addition to killing weeds, this toxic stuff also tends to kill the very crops that the weeds are crowding out. (more…)
